When you present the skateboard in your portfolio, make sure that you show close-ups of the all the fine modeling details. This means you'll have to move the camera around, in and out so the instructor can judge your work. Maybe render two AVI's, like the example above and, using After Effects, combine them into one.

There's no point in doing a great modeling job if the instructor can't see it.
