Welcome to 3D Character Design & Animation. Designing and modeling characters is one of the most exciting of all artistic challenges. Characters make stories. Characters engage the viewers. Characters live.

The skills you learn in this class start you on a pathway to careers in video games, televison commercials, films, industrial animation and more!

In this class you will design and animate four characters and then assemble your animations into a single reel or portfolio. We will use three programs: Sculptris, 3D Max and AfterEffects. 3D Max and Sculptris are available free for you to download from the internet. It is strongly encouraged that you do so if you want to succeed in this class.
